“Manbox”

So I’m a bit of a neat freak, and feel very strongly that 90% of everything in our house should have it’s own place.  I’m okay with a “junk drawer,” ONE “junk drawer” or even a spare room that holds the extras we have not yet found a place for; however, I have a REALLY hard time with areas like this:

In case you can’t see, this pile is: our dog’s poop bags, gum, a mason jar lid, a plug adaptor, and my husband’s sunglasses.  Speaking of my husband, he is usually the breaker of the rule “everything has a place” as seen below on our dresser:

This picture includes: my husband’s wallet, loose credit cards, loose cash, glasses, watch, and change…which had just been put in this jar by me after I had collected the loose change from the kitchen table, end table, dresser, floor, and laundry room.  To be fair, my husband is not  slob, but I have high standards and decided I need to find a way to help him without being a nagging wife.  ENTER THE MANBOX…THAT’S RIGHT LADIES A “MAN BOX.”

Let’s be honest men, you have accessories too! Glasses, wallets, watches, rings….AND THEY ALL NEED A PLACE.  I decided to use my old jewelry box as a  ”Manbox” for my husband.  The good new is, if another man were to ever walk into our bedroom, he would never know the “Manbox,” was my husband’s, it just looks like a woman’s jewelry box in our bedroom!

Now, he has a spot to “throw things…”

A spot for his glasses (multiple pairs because he’s an optometrist):

A spot for watches:

And a spot for other random things that would end up piled up on our dresser!
